Mt. Rainier / Space Needle

Here’s a weird little project I did last week. I was hired to design a business card for a friend of a friend. This guy has a place here in Olympia with a view of Mt. Rainier and then a place right at the foot of the space needle, so my instructions were to include his info and do some artsy stuff of both locations. I don’t really know what this guy is like, so I went with something pretty staid while still being pretty artisticesque:

Well, they liked this I think, but also wanted something a little more “me.” I’m not certain what that means, but I turned this around as an alternate design:

I don’t actually know which one they finally went with, or maybe they haven’t decided yet or are using both. Lord knows I’ve got a few different business card designs I hand out.¬†Obviously, I’ve left all the contact information as the client’s, so feel free to contact them and let them know how you feel.

Anyhow, while I don’t usually put up these sorts of projects, this was an odd little thing I decided to share, probably on account of I’m tired.
